If you’re a healthcare provider supporting someone through a gender-affirming surgical process, you may be looking for a qualified mental health professional to provide the required referral letter.
This is one of the core services I offer — and a routine part of my clinical work.
As a psychologist registered in Brazil (CRP 06/180170), I’ve been working in gender-focused care for years, providing online psychological services to clients across the UK, Europe, the US and beyond. I offer referral letters that are fully compliant with legal, ethical, and clinical standards across jurisdictions.
I also maintain active membership with WPATH (World Professional Association for Transgender Health) and keep my practice aligned with its latest Standards of Care.
What to expect from my work
In every referral process, I conduct a full clinical consultation to assess:
* the person’s gender history and current context,
* their understanding of the surgical procedure and its implications,
* their informed consent and emotional readiness,
* and the presence of either gender dysphoria (as defined in the DSM‑5‑TR) or gender incongruence (as defined in the ICD‑11), when applicable.
When needed, I also assess for differential diagnoses — such as body dysmorphic disorder, which is conceptually and clinically distinct from gender-related experiences, and may apply, for example, to cisgender individuals pursuing surgical procedures.
These are not checklist conversations — they are respectful, collaborative discussions held with warmth and professional care. Each letter includes the necessary diagnostic formulation, a clinical overview of the case, and a clear endorsement of the person’s readiness for surgery. I take into account the specific requirements of each clinic and write letters in English or Portuguese, using the appropriate medical terminology and pronouns.
I conduct all sessions in English or Portuguese, adapting to each person’s cultural background and communication needs. Having worked with hundreds of clients from diverse regions, I’m experienced in navigating the nuances of international care pathways and documentation.
All documents are e-signed, formatted according to international standards, and delivered within 24 hours of the consultation.
For clinics and providers
If you are a surgeon, coordinator, or part of a clinical team working with trans patients, feel free to contact me directly. I’m always happy to collaborate, clarify procedures, or receive referrals.
My letters have been accepted by clinics across the UK, Ireland, Germany, Norway, Sweden, the Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, the US and others — and I’m familiar with the protocols commonly used in both private and public settings.
I provide services remotely from Brazil, with confidentiality, transparency and care.
